What happens when your body goes haywire?

Jen DeTracey started experiencing the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. She faced fear and uncertainty in coming to terms with such an unexpected life change.

How does one handle something like this? Jen bravely decided to take charge and define her own narrative. Learning on spirituality, therapy, and support groups, she carved an individualized path forward. Self doubt and insecurity were unfortunately part of the experience, even for a highly accomplished professional woman.

If you take anything away from this conversation to guide you in your own life, remember that showing up is half the battle.  Health hardship doesn’t have to be the end of the story. Instead, it can become a catalyst for growth and self-discovery.

From Jen DeTracey

“Rather than letting MS define my future, I learned to rewrite the story I was living.”

“In those moments of self-doubt, trust yourself; you have the answer inside of you.”

“I realized that I needed to connect with my own spirituality to find meaning.”
