The narrative around alcohol addiction often revolves around abstinence and traditional recovery programs. Katie Herzog took a different path.

She drank herself sober.

Using the Sinclair Method, which uses naltrexone, a drug that blocks the euphoric effects of alcohol, Katie started down the path to sobriety. Over time, her cravings lessened and so did her drinking. Today she is sober.

Katie’s drinking was both secretive and problematic. I was personally stunned by the extent of her drinking. And her will to change things. She chronicles her story in her book Drink Your Way Sober: The Science-Based Method to Break Free from Alcohol
