“One day you will tell your story of how you’ve overcome what you’re going through now
and it will become part of somebody else’s survival guide.”

Danny Covey
Since he was just 11 months old, Danny has been through eight heart surgeries. Rather than allowing those challenges to define him as a victim, he learned to see adversity as an opportunity for growth. And that’s a perspective he urges others to adapt.
Danny talks about how gratitude, perspective, and honest connection helped him build a meaningful life. His story invites us to ask not, “Why is this happening to me?” but, “What can I learn from it?”
Danny is the author of Scar Tissues, a miraculous story of survival, faith, healing, and most of all, hope.
From Danny Covey
“Life’s greatest gifts come wrapped up in adversity.”
“Refuse a victim mindset, refuse to see yourself as a victim.”
“What can I learn instead of why is this happening to me?”
“One day you will tell your story of how you’ve overcome what you’re going through now and it will become part of somebody else’s survival guide.”
